We obtained the end of a wooden cable reel to make into a large wall clock. It had been sitting outside when we obtained it. In the process of working on the clock, we found a few carpenter ants which must have nested in the wood. We put the clock outside, where temperatues have gotten to zero. Is that sufficient to kill the resident ants, or is there anything else we can do? Would really like to bring the clock inside the house! Thank you.
