Thanks for the quick reply John. So far today I have not seen any ants in the room - I can't imagine that I actually vacuumed all of them up - what I fear is that with the Raid I just sent them an eviction notice from this room to another part of the house - solving nothing. Most of my basement is suspended ceiling - is there anything I can look for to see signs of ants from down there - other than the ants themselves?... Yes - I can easily remove baseboards and trim boards - no problem - was next on my to do list.. and if need be - this room I could easily remove part/all of the gyprock if needed - thanks. If I vacuum up ants that I can see - how does this get rid of the ones inside the wall, the nest, or the queen for that matter... Do you suggest I just vacuum and wait and see?? no dusting in the walls etc.. Does sometimes when you vacuum up enough of them the rest take the hint and leave?
Again - my biggest worry is the fact that if these ones are here - how many more can I not see? and how many more can come on in as well? I have brick around outside of house - fairly easy for them to find a way in if they want to...
Not too sure on availability of Termidor in Canada - yes - most insecticides and herbicides have gone pretty natural/green - I am all for preserving the environment and avoiding the strong chemicals - as long as the "green" products actually work.
This evening I plan to remove the baseboards and have the vac ready...
