First of all, "size" is not an indication they are "babies." Some ants have all sizes. And, for now, I think you could skip the borax routine.

Best would be (to start with) an OUTSIDE perimeter treatment with Termidor - that, in many cases, will control them on the inside, especially when they are deeply entrenched.

Check with a local exterminator, make sure you skip the biggies, they will want some kind of contract. You won't need this, this kind of treatment will usually last the entire season, maybe longer. Cost should be less that $200.
