Hello,

We live in the upper midwest and when it gets warm out we see huge winged ants emerge from a hole they've made in our window framing upstairs. We put a tape over it and that "fixes" it for a while but they usually chew a new one a few weeks later. For the past week or so I've been peeling the tape back and squirting bait (Amdro ant and roach bait that comes in a syringe) then taping it back up. They seem to be taking it all in a day or two. Am I actually killing them or doing the total wrong thing?

The only ants we've seen are big (up to 1/2 inch at least) and have wings.

Thanks so much for your help!
