So, the plumber came by, looked at what he could see but couldn't really get his little camera inside the small holes. He could if I decide to, cut a little hole in the office ceiling that is under the tub area. He thinks it is unlikely because eventually I would see water on that ceiling. He said that pipes will sweat when the heat comes up and since they seem to come out of the diverter from the wall and then they hang out (most of them do, some explore into the house) inside the faucet of the tub, they walk down the wall and hover in the faucet....they wash out when I turn it on, he assumes that they are still looking for water, not that they have found enough... it might not even be sweating, but he said when the heat starts, pipes will sweat... they could have smelled my tubs water on occasion and hit the mother-load. Its not a big deal to peek in the ceiling, not sure I will bother. I might spray. I might just live with it and kill them when I bathe...Hope all is well.
