I wasn't sure you would see it if I followed up on an almost 1 year old thread....

Hi, How are you John. So the swarmers are back. We were on the roof and there is nothing obvious on the outside, some missing caulking. The ejecta is coming through inside the house. So... my ? is, not sure the wood is rotted, might be moist. If we were to caulk outside and there were some hanging in between in the wood, would they just eventually die and be gone. Its a big deal to take apart a very old window in my very old house. Financially and other wise. And one other piece, of interest, the swarmers have a sweet, flowery smell when crushed. Thought it was interesting. Not getting nuts with the ants though, from your patient education. Be well.
