had the contractor out, looked at both sides of the wood windows, no moisture, no rotting. there is some caulking that could be done inside and outside. he imagines the ants are living inside the house, all lathe and plaster 100 year old house, getting in and finding their ways. like the ones who come through the tub in the summer. should we dust with some kind of "poison" before we caulk it all up? he said definitely not moisture, protected areas and he poked around.
