Hi, I don't mean to interupt.... sorry.
I posted back last summer about a carpenter ant problem in exterior walls with plaster.
I had 2 nests in living room walls. Possibly another around kitchen. Could hear very soft tapping noise every few minutes in living room walls and ended up seeing workers traveling around 1st floor and basement. I believe they came in through a rim joist on basement foundation under living room. High snow piles last winter/spring and broken exterior brick within 1 foot of where the damaged wood joist is. I caulked the brick up back then. Atleast that is the only place I found damage.
Anyways........I've read they sometimes nest in dry wood ? If you disagree John are you saying My exterior walls have moisture in them ?
I havent seen any since last August now....knock on wood. I guess I'll find out in the next couple months if the bait/dust/termidor did its job back then. I still look
