I went back to your original post and saw that you meant the door FRAME! A carpenter can easily saw out the damaged part and fix it with new wood. That would be the cheapest repair. Might not look like you want it to, but it would be completely serviceable.

And you can just replace the frame, but if you were gonna do that, I think you should replace the door AND the frame. Otherwise the carpenter might spend a lot of time fitting the door to a new frame. I don't think that's an easy job, most carpenters would rather replace both at once.

Regardless, a patch job will do you until you get rich and famous! And use a shop-vac if you encounter more than just a few ants, forget the sprays or baits.
