I absolutely love your page! You've given me so much personal courage to try and resolve my ant problem. I'm concerned that I won't be able to find the nest and was hoping you might be able to help me.
Last year I was able to easily find the entry point to the house - the kitchen window sill. This year the ants are in the kitchen and my upstairs bathroom - which is also a steam room with a faux brick back wall (directly above the kitchen).
In March I had the insulation in my house increased and foam was added and cover all the holes in the attic. Should I not assume that if the insulation company came across moisture/nest they would tell me? It's a reputable company I trust.
My next door neighbor has a tree that looms over our roofs but it doesn't touch the roof. Probably a 4 ft gap between branches and roof touching.
I first noticed that ants in the kitchen and was able to contain them with borax.
I didn't want to put chemicals in my upstairs bathroom, but broken down and purchased the gel. The ants swarmed in on it!
I thought they might've did the trick, but more ants are in the bathroom tonight (put gel down last night).
Any suggestions on what I should do?
Thank you in advance for your time.
Kind Regards,
Robin
