Thanks John for all the advice. I did purchase 2 "dogs" from Watchdoggoosepatrol online as it is supposed to be effective for rabbits, groundhogs, woodchucks, racoons, all of which we have and they put food out for. Found out I will probably need a 50 lb bag of granules as when I walked out to the back of the yard to place the dogs in different areas I noticed ant hills all over the lawn ao guess I would have to do the whole lawn. There were also bits of food I picked up that the animals must have brought over from next door. Since I have a company do the mowing I did not notice how bad the ant problem really is until now. Hopefully my dogs with the scent disc (animal urine)works for the animals if I keep moving them around and off to the garden store for granules. How many days before the lawn guys come should I put the granules out or doesn't it make any difference. I will water it in but did not know if the mowers will suck it up. They use bags to collect the clippings and take them away.

Thanks for all your help and I guess I goofed with the neighbor even tho I tried to be nice about it after we got the town notice. I don't think baking a cake will fix the problem...maybe I could bake one and send it to you.
