Hi John - Seems I'm back to the ant problem. It's not a big deal, but over the last few weeks I've had a dozen or so come into the kitchen, again near my window and sink, stove area. I still think they're getting in somehow through the kitchen window which is a garden type window that protrudes on the outside. It's 12 feet up so it's not easy for us to get to from the outside. I'm thinking of having a contractor over to inspect and seal up any cracks, etc. all over the house, not specifically because of the ant problem but just because I think it's a good idea to do it. When I have this done, should I be concerned about the level of ant activity at the time? I guess what I'm wondering is would I trap some of them on the inside when I have this work done. I did notice a few days ago when I was outside a large trail of these ants were marching up the wooden railing of my deck steps. That's not really directly underneath the window area but in the same general vicinity. We're having these deck steps replaced sometime in the near future just because they need to be. We're going to use what you recommended - pressurized wood, a couple of coats of paints, etc. Thanks as always for your suggestions!
