Yes, it's possible to see some ants afterward. But probably not since June. Cynfluthrin is one of the pyroids, and therefore will be repellant to the ants. They will avoid it if they can, and that might mean you have "trapped" a few inside. Termidor is non-repellant and the insects won't know it's there, so there isn't a danger you'll trap them inside. I don't think you can get Termidor in Canada, but see for sure if you can. Or Phantom, which I think may be ok...
But I'd wait a bit. The Cynfluthrin is still working, so you should see a tapering off. Besides, what you're seeing is not that much at all, so wait before you spend any more money for insecticides. Both the ones I mentioned will be around $80 American. And with CAs, size doesn't matter. They come in all sizes!
And sometimes nests aren't always very visible. See if it tapers off.
