We live in the Toronto area by the lake. The past few months have been extremely rainy - double the amount of rain as usual. So, the ground is very moist. Last summer we had CA in the backyard. They seemed to be living in one of the back deck posts, but we used dusts and sprays and the problem seemed to resolve. Never saw any ants in the house. This year, over the past 2 weeks or so, I've seen a few lone CA inside the house - one/day, on the second floor. Not sure where they are entering. Our house is a 4-year-old custom-build, with no rotting wood or water damage. We just had an exterior perimeter spray done this morning to help with spiders (we get LOTS of spiders around here), and the technician said the barrier should also help with ants. He was not concerned about the few lone ants in the house. But I am worried. Thoughts?
