I've lived in my house since 1992. Had ants a couple times, but never these big carpenter ants, and I was always able to control them with a few Combat Ant Traps. Those didn't work this time.

The sheer amount of Maxforce gel and Advance protein bait that the ants consumed must have had some effect, don't you think?
Plus, many of the ants I'm finding in my house now are sluggish and awkward in their movements. This morning I found a scattering of dead ants in my basement.

In any case, I hope this blows over pretty soon. It's getting to where I expect to see a huge ant everywhere I look, and way too often I actually do.
