Hello. So glad I found this forum. We have lived in the current house for three years. Just last spring, we saw carpenter ants for the first time. We used maxforce and advance, cut the branches of trees touching our house and then didn't have further problems. This year we saw a few in May, used the two baits and thought we were in the clear. Then a week ago I started seeing a bunch at the entrance way between our elevated deck and the house. The who frame was replaced last year, so it's not rotted out. Anyhow, I treated again with advance, maxforce and two thermidore traps for good measure. Now we still see ants (20 a day) but they're stumbing around in their death throes or dying. In the past, it only took a couple if days for the problem to clear up and we didn't see the dying ants. Also, before the ants were further in the house, predominantly in kitchen and bathrooms. I'm stumped. Is what were seeing good or bad? What do you recommend for next steps? Thanks in advance for your help.
