A week (or so) should be enough time to tell where everything's going. Did the baits help? Probably. In some way, at least, as evidenced by their obvious disorientation. Whether it "works" the way you want it to work, you're looking for a continuation of decreases in your sightings.

Keep the baits? Up to you. It certainly won't harm anything, but I don't think you need to add more, at least until you know where you're going... Fipronil is also the AI (active ingredient) that's used in Termidor. It takes awhile to work, and those "deranged" ants you see are typical.

Finally, what you REALLY need to do is not worry about it!
