We're in the house almost 12 years. Never had any real issues in the past. Would see an occasional spider/ant/silver fish. The built in is on an outside wall. Now on the other side is my back yard. There's a concrete patio just behind it with a plastic deck box and plastic, Rubbermaid closet up against the side of the house. So if it rains, water could collect and not easily drain off.

In fact I've even noticed a few of these ants hanging out on the side of the pool as well.

We've discussed in the past removing the built in, so maybe the time has come. Thankfully this is something we can do ourselves.

I'll try the bait pucks to keep the Mrs. happy and see where that brings us in the next few weeks.
