To update, the best I was able to find as far as bait was Terro and tried both the bait traps and the liquid with the boards. Now for some reason (unless I didn't notice), it seems like they totally bypassed the bait. However, each day we noticed less and less. So I'm taking it that they just went for the bait while we weren't around.

With that said, have only seen maybe 2 or 3 since this past Monday. Since there is a space between the wall and the built in, I was able to pour in some Hot Shot ant killer with boric acid. I'll monitor to see how many/often we see any in the house.

If the above works, then I can hold off on removing the built in until after the holidays, at least. At that point, when it comes out, we'll see what we are dealing with behind there and then figure out the best approach to remedy it.
