Hi. I'm having an ant outbreak in my house. It seems to be mainly in the kitchen but I've found them in pretty much every room. I've put diatomaceous earth powder down, which does kill them. I finally called an exterminator who sprayed, but I'm afraid the DE powder is counteracting his spray.
I see tons of dead ants on my kitchen floor, in my laundry area, and I'm sick of it. In my opinion, they're walking over the powder first, which is killing them.
The bug guy said to wait 30 days and then call them to come back to spray again if it's not better. He just came three days ago, but aren't they supposed to be dissipating, not getting worse?
I think the DE powder is killing them first before they can get back to the nest to kill the rest of the ants.
Why am I seeing more dead ants all over the place? Is this normal after getting sprayed by an exterminator? He said in a few days I should see less, but I've seen more and more dead ones. Aren't they supposed to go back to the nest and die?
