Hi John,

This time of year (and indeed today) I see pavement ants inside my house by my front door. We have a concrete slab walkway to the front of the house and the soil in my area is pretty sandy, and I know there are a lot of these tiny guys outside, I see them all the time.

I have no idea if it's possible to keep them out of my house completely, because the slab runs all the way up to my front door with poured stairs as part of it. I've always just put some liquid bait traps under the doormat inside my front door, and the ants seem to come and go a bit through the summer. I've never (knock on wood) seen them emerge or congregate in any other parts of the house.

Does it sound like there is anything else I should do?

Thanks!

Adam
