Hi John,

Thank you for all of the useful informations on your website! I have a few different types of ants in my lawn and landscaping (field, pavement, some CA's here and there). Some of the pavement ant colonies in particular seem fairly widespread.

Would you recommend the application of a granular product containing befenthrin over the entire lawn using a spreader? I read that bifenthrin will kill ants and other pests but that it is highly repellent to ants, so would I run too high a risk of trapping some of the populations in certain areas and make them more likely to come into my home?

I also have a lot of those shiny green and black beetles in my property in the summer. I don't know if their larvae hatch underground and then come up, but would bifenthrin be helpful in managing those beetles or should I try those 'bug bags' that my neighbors use that attract them?

Sorry for the long message, thanks so much for your help!

A Thankful Homeowner
