Hey, that's great Cristine! Not having to spend $1800 bucks would make anyone happy. (Especially hubbys!)
And a clean house is always great for everybody. Then, when you want something, you don't have to guess which pile it's in.... Like I do.
Hard to say whether there was ever any BB, or that you managed to get the ones you did have. It is not impossible to do it yourself, just extremely unlikely. Sometimes we (exterminators) do even MORE and we STILL don't have the success we like to see.
And lastly, the prime directive of any ethical exterminator would be: YOU DO NOT TREAT WITHOUT A TARGET!
So your exterminator's recommendation of an $1800 treatment, without confirming that you actually had BB, is troubling. Not so much for quoting you for the job, any exterminator can do that. It's because he made a personal inspection of the area, did not find a BB problem, and still recommended treatment. Usually, when I see that, it means that what you really had was a salesman, rather than an exterminator. There is a definite difference.
Get back with any further info - and thanks for the update!
