Our yard has been invaded by voles. I have checked online images of vole holes and the ones I find around the yard are spot on to the photos I saw. The holes that concern me most are those near the foundation of our house. In your opinion, are their burrows a threat to a house’s foundation?
I read your mouse trapping advice and am curious if the cotton ball in a trap idea would work for voles. If cotton balls do attract voles searching for nesting materials I could avoid other critters from raiding the traps since the traps are outdoors. Would placing something over the holes and baited traps like large cans or plastic buckets weighted down with bricks with the baited trap inside work?
I am also curious if any of the poisons on the market are effective.
Thanks
