My house has a small roof extension about 8' above my back door, and bats have taken to spending the night at the base of this extension. Judging from the amount of droppings I have to sweep off the concrete every morning there are only a few of them, but I am getting tired of the mess. I've tried leaving my back door light on overnite, and that got rid of them for a few days, but now they are back. (The bulb is yellow. Would a regular white bulb have worked better?)
I normally never see them--they apparently arrive well after dark and are gone by morning, but today one was still hanging there over my back door, which was a little creepy, to say the least. Any suggestions as to how I could get them to move on? Thanks.
