I recently moved into an apartment building that is infested with roaches. The first week, I saw a roach crawl up my bedroom wall. I lived at this compelxes sister property and never experienced a problem with roaches. I put down boric acid, roach traps, and sprays. Management had no contract at the time with an exterminator. I've only been there a month and see roaches in my kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom. Management stated they located the soucse of the problem in another unit. This is a 28 unit building. I've seen roaches crawling on the exterior of the unit after the building was sprayed the the exterminator. The exterminator issued a clean out, all cabinets in kitchen and bathroom cleaned out. I've seen roaches five days after this on my carpets. My question is that the extermintor stated that they are only spraying kitchen and bathrooms because this is where roaches reside. Should they not spray the entire apartment along with the vents. What is the best insecticide they should use. What about the infested unit and the roaches leaving that unit? Does this sound like a problem that will be fixed in weeks. I want to leave, but management is stating they are doing all they can, and to give them time. What state office should I contact as well. My neighbor who recently moved in is having a severe problem as well.
