Thanks for your quick reply John. I shall post an update tomorrow morning.

The funny thing is that each time I went into the basement and turned on the light (yesterday and today), the mouse would come out and stare at me as if trying to see who was disturbing them. But after I cleaned the basement this afternoon (there are only a few boxes now), and placed traps (bait: raisin dipped in peanut butter), I haven't seen the mouse at all this evening. I don't want to make premature assumptions but is it possible that it could have gotten scared and exited through where it came from? I found a hole under a tile just outside the entrance to my walk-out basement. How do I fill it..if that's the entry point?

More update tomorrow morning.
