Roaches can stand cold when the temp is lowered slowly - flash frozen is much better. And you need it to stay REALLY cold, for a week or more. Not sure that this would be good for electrical components.

Heat is much better. All you need to do is keep it above 125 degrees until the entire item is 125. That should be no more than 24 hours for an electrical component - and 125 degrees won't hurt a TV.
