Hi, I am finally getting around to having the company that closed up holes all around our house in the fall and no more mice have been in. I can't do the cleanup myself as the nest and droppings are up on the wood along the top of the basement wall and I can't get up there esp. the sewer pipes are in the nest area.
The guy is coming today and I just found out from the company he is late because of all the animals, etc. She said he uses a vacuum with a HEPA filter and then uses Simple Green I guess to get rid of any mouse scent. Does this sound right to you? I asked since he is catching whatever animals first before he gets to me does he change his gloves from house to house and she said no. I hope I do not end up worse than I started. Is this the norm and am I overreacting. It just seemed strange to me but since I can not do it myself I have no choice in the matter. The company did do a very good job at catching the mice and closing up vertually all the holes as I haven't seen any evidence of a mouse since.
Thanks for your input. I presume he will already have done his thing by the time you read this. Hope I am worrying needlessly as I am 71 and can't bleach down my whole basement now. Whoops, he came and is using my chair to stand on -- better than my dryer, right?
