Mice go EVERYWHERE. With or without food. They can always find "food." They eat things you wouldn't believe. That's why bait works so well.

Some exterminators don't do exclusion work - make sure they do if that's what you want.

Frankly, you can do both, if you want to. Otherwise you should expect to pay for both control and exclusion. Kind of depends on if you want to spend the money. Call a couple of exterminators and get some prices. Forget the one that want to send out a salesman - that's most of the biggies.
