Looks like you caught things before they go bad. Outside you can use caulk or use copper wool - or stainless wool. Regular steel wool will just rust away to nothing.

And that gap at the floor with the wall board is normal - you'll find they did that in the entire house, why, I don't know, but I see it all the time. Perhaps a professional wall board guy will pipe up here and tell us.

Another problem is that I can't find that broken box I mentioned to you. I guess one of the guys lifted it, it wasn't on my desk, it was on my tool chest, fair game for them. I do have a full box of 4 tubes and will mail it out Monday, if that's okay.
