If they're YJ, they won't last long, they'll be dead after a hard freeze. Might as well wait and keep the closet door shut until you see no activity from the outside.

When they get in the house, they head for the windows to try and get out. Crush them against the window with a rolled up newspaper or something. DO NOT SPRAY THEM!
