i recently purchased an older home with half the basement being dirt floor. I have noticed several "holes" or burrow openings in vertical areas of the dirt. One is a larger opening than the others, about 1 1/2" dia. with a large 'entryway'. Others are smaller 3/4" to 1" with less of an 'entryway'. I trapped 2 mice a couple months ago..i plugged the larger hole and found it reopened. I placed a glue pad and a rat trap baited w/ peanut butter - negative. any ideas on the holes, esp the larger one, rats?
