Yeah, pretty stiff price indeed. We had heard it can get even pricier, depending on where you are in the country. My fiancee is without insurance for the time being as well :(
Yeah, I didn't expect you to actually make any call for us. Just to share any experience you may have had on the scenario.

It would be helpful if you have any advice on clues we could look for to determine how long the bat may have been in the house. Again, she has never seen a bat in there, heard them at night or seen droppings. She did have an inspection of her attic a month ago and I suppose it could have swooped down then or a dead one could have fallen out. We also have heard they are so tiny and can slip through cracks in the wall between the hot water tank and sometimes dryer hoses and wall.
It truly is a perplexing predicament.

Oh yeah, test came back inconclusive because the specimen was too dry. Another indicator that the bat had been dead for awhile, making us even more the nervous.
