One has a dog and the other allows a cat from up the street come in and visit and stay overnite. He doesn't come here anymore as I was giving him treats but he wanted to come in and hubby has asthma so he doesn't come in my yard anymore. Chippies do collect food there but use my patio as a dinner table and for housing.

Re reason we aren't using the bucket - hubby was going to throw out the water and sunflower seeds and chipmunks in the small wooded area at the back of the yard and figured the sunflower seeds would attract the woodchucks when dried out plus I don't think it is wise to just leave a bunch of carcasses in the back of the yard. Can chipmunks carry rabies as we are both allergic to the antibiotics in the rabies vaccine and wanted to avoid handling them if possible. Large glue traps would be just as bad.
