John, I seem to have acquired two raccoon kits in my yard. They look to be about 7 or 8 weeks old. One was unsuccessfully trying to climb up the chimney, which is not a good sign (chimney is capped but squirrel holes not sealed yet). They are both out and about in broad daylight with no mama in sight though they may just be exploring on their own.

Question: I've ordered a raccoon trap, which will arrive Wednesday. Do I put them down like squirrels or do I have to call somebody to take them away? If so, can you recommend somebody reliable who services central Suffolk County on Long Island?

Thanks
