I have a small air conditioner in my bedroom window that does not fill up the entire space. Therefore, on either side of the air conditioner are 2-3 inches of open space, with maybe 2 inches depth. Of course, the perimeter of the window is completely sealed so insects cannot enter.

I have discovered what I believe are bat droppings in these open spaces. It is pitch black outside my window when I sleep, so I know that light is not attracting bats to insects by my window. I once vacuumed up the droppings, and now they are returning. It is completely disgusting me. I haven't actually seen or heard the bat, but I live on the 2nd story and the droppings are too large to be a rodent.

I live in NY and the heat has been unbearable here. Do I need to remove the A/C or is there some way I can prevent this bat from using these small spaces in my window as a toilet?
