well, they seem to be attracted to almost anything....I have tried the homemade vinegar traps, and I didn't really capture too many of them. I did use a Torro Fruit Fly trap, and that seemed to attract a little more than my homemade traps, but still not a significant amount for the amount of flies that are around. We can't even put one single dirty dish in the sink without tons of these things coming around. They even seem to be attracted to standing water too, because they are always attracted to the dish draining rack we have.....and the other day my wife had some clothes soaking in a bucket with water and Febreeze and they were attracted like crazy to that as well. This situation is completely nuts! They don't even go away in the winter time either, they were very present this past winter.
