Exterminators use several different insecticides on BB problems, as many as 6 or 7, so I doubt there is a whole lot that you can (effectively) do. BB won't normally hide in books, although they can do that if they are close to the source of the problem.

Best thing, of course, would be to talk directly with the operator that is doing the job at your apartment. There should be nothing wrong with speaking to him, I would DEMAND the name of the company and call and talk to them, since they know the conditions at your apartment and the building.

Tell them if they don't give you the info, you will call the health dept.

Don't take any crap.
