Hi John, Thanks for your suggestions. Thought I'd update you. It's been a little over a month since spotting the rats. I did call out one of your suggested people in the Boston area. He came out, inspected the property and said, "I think you might have fixed the problem on your own." We had baited a hole in a stone wall a few times and found a dead rat right outside the hole in the wall, and found a couple of young rats dead on the lawn. My husband told the guy, "oh no, you don't know my wife, you have to do something." So he did leave 4 bait boxes around the outside of the house. We left for 2 weeks on vacation and when I came home there was no sign of life - squirrel's, chipmunks, rats, nada. It's like a bomb went off in my yard and there's no sign of life! So my fingers are crossed and I'm hoping they don't come back! Do you think I should leave the bait boxes out all winter? I'm thinking when the snow starts to fall, it will cover the boxes. Should I put them somewhere before we get snow?

Thanks for your terrific website. I'm always sending your link to friends with critter problems!
