I think clean up is really up to the individual. Personally, unless it's outrageous, I don't normally think it's necessary.

As far as the rodent stations are concerned, I wouldn't put them on the INSIDE, I would have them on the outside. I would want to get them BEFORE they entered the house.

That's after all the outside entrance points were FIXED. So they CAN'T get back in.
