I'm knew to all of this stuff. I purchased a log cabin that was in foreclosure. So I can't get any info as to how long these bees have been around. I knew that I had to paint the cabin, but these bees are making me crazy. I did have an exterminator come over to spray the house, and signed a yearly contract. They will come over four times a year for a set amount, and also whenever I call them (for free) to spray again. It's been about 5 days since they exterminated, and I am still seeing the bees constantly. I assume that these are the males? I'm afraid to go outside. I know that the males don't sting, but my question is, since the male bees are all over the place still, should I have them come back and spray the house again? Are the males still here because the female is still here? or are they here protecting the larva? Do the males ever go away? or do I need to deal with each one of them individually? If the male bees weren't dive bombing me each time I went outside, I would be more apt to go outside and to deal with the nest, as I would do this at night. Please help. What do I do with those male bees so that I can start treating the nest?
