I've lived in my house for 17 years and I never saw or caught a mouse inside my house except for 1x about 3years ago. (although I have seen old droppings in the attic). I try to cover all visible access points. About 4 days ago while I was watching TV downstairs, a brown mouse ran under my TV stand and then into my walk-in closet. I have set up 6-7 snap traps (T-Rex mini's & Ortho press N release), along with 2 glue boards. Baited with peanut butter & some with bacon bits. So far I haven't caught anything, and the bait doesnt look disturbed. I pulled out my refrigerator and stove and cleaned real good behind them. So far I haven't even found ANY droppings anywhere. I dont believe that this mouse is out of my house. What do I do next? Also, I had a waterguard system installed inside the perimeter of my basement several years ago. During the installation process, dime sized holes(weep) had to be drilled on the inside portion of the bottom of my basements concrete blocks. Could mice get in from the outside this way? The holes are just on the inside portion of the block to help release the waters hydrostatic pressure. The contractor doesnt believe that mice can get in this way. I was thinking about buying a Victor Multi-kill electronic trap but I have read mixed reviews. What do I do? I dont want this mouse in my house long so that he/she doesnt start breeding and inviting others in my sound/scent.
