Hi, I am hoping someone out there can help me and ease my mind. We have had a rat problem in our home. It was isolated to the attic and garage but then one got into the bathroom from a hole in the wall. We had a pest control company working to eliminate this issue and we thought it was done. Since there was only 2-3 droppings in the house at a time, when we found the dead rat on the sticky trap we thought the issue was done. NOW......we are seeing droppings again near one of our couches. There is no way for the rats to get into the house so we are assuming that it has been here all this time or that the dead rat had babies that are just becoming active. Since the droppings were only by the one couch we are wondering if it is possible that they have made there nest inside it. I say yes but my husband doesn't think so. I really want to get rid of this couch but will it remove my problem. Also how low would the babies rats hibernate for? Our dead rat was found 2 weeks ago.
