We had a problem with rats some time ago. They liked to hang out under our kitchen sink. I put steel wool everywhere I could see a benefit for it, and called an exterminator to take care of the problem. Now we have an occaisional rat, but a constant smell. Sometimes it is really horrible. It seems like the smell has gotten into the wood. I have mopped straight bleach on the wood in the cabinets, put a box of baking soda to absorb the odor, and it is still there. I even took the liner off of the cabinet floors with the intention of replacing the liner when the smell is gone. But the smell is not gone. How do I get this smell out of the wood in our cabinets?
