It will dissipate on its own. The smell is the symptom of the natural effect of the bacteria and other microbes that consume any dead body. Once it has completed, it's gone, and so are the bacteria.

In a house that had dead rats, the house smells BAD until all of it is rotted away.

Remarkably, the house (or whatever) smells really bad, then a day or two after everything is gone, the smells mostly disappear. No bacteria, no smell. They won't stick around if there's no food!

Would you stay at a pizza party if there were no pizzas?
