Do you know what kind of bees? If not, then stand there for 5 minutes, on a sunny day, and just watch the area they were going in and out.

The deal is, you want to make sure they're not honeybees. If they are, you will need an exterminator. Honeybees will be active all year long, you would see them on a bright, sunny day.

If not, you can safely caulk the entrance point, you don't need any insecticides, thee bees all die out in the winter.
