Ok I have a bit of a situation happening in the ceiling of my kitchen. I every now and then hear the pitter patter of something. It doesn't last very long maybe like a split second but its enough to get my attention. Since I had a squirrel problem last year. Killed 11 of them. I am now more attuned to scurrying of any sort. Its a typical Philly row house. when I had the squirrel problem it was confined to the back room ceiling got that taken care of. My cat stares at a particulair spot in the kitchen when she hears scurrying. She stares at the bottom corner of the door jamb. There is a small hole there but I stuffed it with rat poison and a papertowel so the cat couldnt get to it.

I have not seen whatever it is I just hear it and then I dont hear it often always at night. I did hear it squeak. Are rat squeaks louder then mice. cause this was kinda loud. And my brother did hear something near his video game console. If it is a rat how do I get rid of it without poisoning my cat. I put poison in the basement, in the wall next to the door the cat stares at. And in the floor in my bedroom loose board figured why not. I am glad it has not come out in the open but I still dont want this thing scurrying all through my walls. Any other places to put poison short of ripping up my kitchen ceiling.
