Ok, i've been spraying at least once a week, all along the baseboards and under the couches, etc, after I've vacuumed and mopped. The rugs we have are those 8x10 (maybe smaller), low pile types, right in the middle of a room. I have young children who play on them; is it safe to spray them with pyrethrin spray? Or should we just look at ditching them? I've never actually seen any evidence of an adult or larvae on them...always on the baseboards or crawling up a wall. Our house is on hold for being remodeled, so we do have spaces near our walls, where we don't have baseboard in all the rooms. But, I make sure and vac well, and spray heavily on those areas. When I first discovered these bugs last year, i emptied every closet and I either cleaned items or froze them for a long time, to kill what was existing...honestly, I didn't find a lot of evidence, just enough to know I wasn't imagining the beetles. I vac'd and bleached all closets, treated, etc. So, I have seen a decrease, but I am wanting zero bugs left :-) I guess it's a matter of time, just like with the Indian Meal Moths? Thanks!
