While they have been known to "bite" people, this is not something you need to worry about. They reside mostly on plants, and your exterminator can treat the ares around your house to minimize the problem.

But thrips can be carried long distances, so you can always see some, if conditions are right.

The few you do see, use a vacuum to get rid of them, along with the exterminator.
